About this film.This work is an Anti-Colonial treatise. A Meditation on authority. It was written as a piece of creative prose. It inquires how language may be used to generate a false narrative of authority with an outlook of subduing others.
It attempts to conjure a feigned form of pseudo intellectualism– to create an ascended position. The work reflects upon the archived western metaphysical project, and the self-identifying western enlightenment. Were they the tools of the colonial conquest? Is this the overriding method of generating consent for the wiping out of indigenous peoples. A nefarious premise. Sampling has become prevalent across our cultures, from the birth of Hip Hop, the cult 'cut and pastes' of W.S Burrough, to contemporary AI directory responses. T.S.Eliots poem The Wasteland presents an clear example of a coded intentional sampling. Once we interrogate and gather it's line by line references, we arrive at a database of cultural esoteric’s. Awareness of the references and the ability to engage with them, provided the passwords to entering the upper classes. The unhindered growth and imposition of this form of divisive system has played into the monstrosities that we are currently witnessing. They were hidden in plain sight all along. We are now at a stage in our evolution where the mystics inform us that this is the Golden Age, the evolution of the self, and the ascension of consciousness to the higher modes of being. Simultaneously, the western colonial systems are now informing us that we should allow their AI systems to do our thinking for us. End Colonialism ! |
Super Theory Background.The original text was written as an appendix item as part of my research thesis whilst working towards a Philosophy of Animation degree at the Royal College of Art, London. It was written in a single day on the 21.03.2006 from 12.25 pm onwards. It was the culmination of 3 years of loose reading across Western Philosophy, Critical Theory, Modern Theoretical Physics, Art History, and Eastern Philosophy, Scripture and Esoteric's.
This was part of a research project entitled Space is the Place : Extension of the Viewing Frame. Within this I examined how we may be able to join 'On' & 'Off' screen space and collapse them into a perceivable unity. A new space for animation. A large body of Art works were created to support this study, with key works being 'Infra thin' (2006) which relied upon bespoke handmade sound floors and multiple monitors to allow digital animated objects to be perceived at all times as they moved through a space. Collective Consciousness (2004) used a resonate frequency of 6.5 Hz to oscillate a an elevated 100ft long wooden terrace structure, and lead all present towards a community theta brain state through sympathetic resonance. Also, a unique reflective in and on action methodology, called Live Animation © 2003, and the film Vampires (2006) made through it's application. I have given equal attribution of this 'Super Theory of the Fundamental Properties of Everything' to Jonathon Miles, at the RCA, who became my research supervisor, and this text was inspired by his legendary weekly reading group. An original copy of The Mil-Ami Super Theory of the Fundamental Properties of Everything is held at The British Library. This theory is an Artists Animation, and thus one of its protocols is the suspension of belief. |
